Microsoft has previously announced a list of games to expect. However, these titles are still in development. To keep you in the loop, these games include Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2, Fable, Everwild, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, and Perfect Dark Reboot. Although we expect to hear something about some of these projects, we know they won’t all make the cut.
Looking deeper into the games, Avowed first came into the limelight in the 2020 E3. Thereafter, Obsidian went silent about the IP and three years later it’s imminent that its launch may be around the corner. For this reason, the title might be getting a spot in the incoming showcase.
Another one of the new titles that should be dropping soon if not soon enough includes Everwild, a 2019 announcement. In the past, the game’s development seemed to have halted until 2021. Four years later, there’s a likelihood of the game development being underway. For this reason, Rare might be dropping the game’s next teaser with information probably indicating its launch period or at least its development progress.
Game Updates That Might Be Shown in the Xbox Games Showcase
Xbox has a lineup of game sequels that have been in the planning and development period for quite some time. Even popular third party titles, such as Hollow Knight: Silksong, first announced in 2019, has been silent for long. However, the game was featured in an Xbox Game Pass advertisement recently. This gives us a glimpse of hope for its imminent release.
The Outer Worlds 2 and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 are another set of sequels that feel behind schedule. If Avowed ends up in Sunday’s showcase, The Outer Worlds 2 from Obsidian could be hitting the next up. Hellblade 2 has also been featured in a recent Xbox Game Pass marketing, Thus, creating some optimism for a sooner-than-later release date. What better time to reveal a date than during the Xbox Showcase?
Finally, we might be expecting some remake trailers to hit during the show. A reboot of Perfect Dark is highly likely to feature during the lengthy show. All these and more will unfold on June 11, during the 2023 Xbox Games Showcase. Right after the showcase, Microsoft will showcase the Starfield Direct, which should Xbox fans a double dose of fun.
