Phasmohobia has long been available exclusively to PC gamers on Steam. During this time, console players have been eagerly waiting for this renowned ghost-hunting experience to come to consoles, and now their wait is coming to an end. The Kinetic Games team has been quietly developing the console side of the game in the shadows for a long time. The team has released a new trailer for the Phasmophobia console release date, accompanied by new features that will be added to the game. Let’s discuss if this paranormal investigation horror game is coming to console.
Is Phasmophobia Coming to Consoles?
Although the exact date is unclear, Phasmophobia is officially coming to Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR2 in August 2023. The team will share the exact date in the coming weeks. One way or another, Phasmohobia‘s release for consoles is just around the corner.
Will Phasmophobia Have Crossplay?
Yes, Phasmophobia will have optional crossplay. For example, while you are playing on a PC, you will be able to play with a friend who is also playing on Xbox or PlayStation. To use this feature, you will need to turn crossplay on in your game settings. If you don’t want console players in your lobby, you will be able to turn it off. When a player from another platform joins your lobby, you will be able to see this on their cards.
The Phasmophobia console version will be released with the Progression 2.0 update when it first launches for consoles and will be regularly upgraded. There will be two different games that the team will develop from now on. Stay tuned to The Nerd Stash for the exact date of the console version of Phasmophobia in the coming weeks.
