Blizzard Entertainment has announced that a new beta for Diablo 4 will be released, but when can players expect to join the servers? The final beta is the Server Slam event, giving players another chance to test the game before Diablo 4’s release date. The game had previously launched two wildly successful beta tests in March. The upcoming Diablo 4 beta release date will arrive only a month before the game fully launches, meaning any feedback received for the Server Slam won’t be implemented in time. Nonetheless, the beta will offer gamers plenty of fun for one weekend.
When is the Diablo 4 Beta – The Server Slam – Releasing?
Blizzard Entertainment released an official blog post revealing the Server Slam beta will launch on May 12 at noon PT. The event will last the full weekend, ending on Mary 14, 12 PM PT. Blizzard describes the final beta as giving players one last weekend in Hell before the full title releases. The beta will allow players to play through the Prologue and the entirety of Act 1 for Diablo 4. Fans can play as a Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, or Sorcerer in the beta, and can level their character up to 20. The Legendary Item drop rate has been altered to reflect the rates that will be present at the launch.
Any character progress made during the Early Access and Open Beta will not carry over to the Server Slam beta. Furthermore, any progress made in the Server Slam event will not carry over to the launch. The focal point of the Server Slam is fighting the giant monster named Ashava. Beta testers can face the creature starting May 13 at 9 AM PT. Ashava will be available every 3 hours thereafter until May 14 at 9 AM PT. Beta testers can earn rewards, including the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy for slaying Ashava and the Beta Wolf Pack Cosmetic Item for reaching level 20.
