Out of every single mod we can get for Elden Ring, the most famous one has to be Seamless Co-Op. This mod allows players to enjoy an authentic multiplayer experience with up to five other players. However, it’s sadly common for mods to break whenever a new major update for the base game hits. Sadly, Seamless Co-Op isn’t the exception. Thankfully, there have already been a few updates for this famous mod, so you might be able to play Seamless Co-Op in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree sooner than you think.
As of June 20, there is yet to be an exact time for when Seamless Co-Op will be available for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. However, that doesn’t mean it won’t come soon. According to information from the mod author’s Discord server, the rewrite for the mod has already been patched. Yet, it still needs to be prepared to be played. The author mentions it still needs some testing, and certain features and bug fixes from older versions are missing from the rewrite. Since these are significant elements for the mod, it might take a while to see a compatible version of this mod for Elden Ring‘s DLC.
Those eager to continue their Elden Ring adventure with Seamless Co-Op can still do so, albeit with a few tweaks. If you head to the mod’s page, you can see there’s a guide to downgrade Elden Ring before the Shadow of the Erdtree update and continue playing with Seamless Co-Op. However, this only allows you to play Elden Ring without the DLC. Yet, it isn’t a bad idea to do so if you want to reach the starting point of the DLC. On the other hand, you can create a new save file, play the DLC, and wait until Seamless Co-Op gets its update, but we don’t know when that’ll occur. Regardless, anyone can cross the fog right now, with or without friends.
