After parting ways with Hans, Henry’s main goal is to get into the wedding. Although you may want to head to the miller or the blacksmith immediately, it’s best to look for your dog companion first. Despite being missing for many days, Mutt is still alive and well in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. You will need to return to the forest where you encountered the group of bandits and track down your loyal companion. This quest is rather tedious, as you must travel to various locations to find your lost dog.
Where to Find Mutt in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
To find Mutt in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you need to visit the area where you dropped from the cliff. There, you may encounter a bandit looting the corpse of your attacker. After dealing with the enemy, walk down the dirt path until you find a deer carcass. Examine both the animal and human corpses to prompt Henry to go to the old herbwoman’s house.
Talk to Herbwoman Bozhena and exhaust her dialogue. You may also receive a side quest to find the missing Pavlena. The old woman will tell you to go to a tavern and the fisherman’s house. I suggest visiting the tavern first and talking to Innkeeper Lawrence. Besides giving you some information about wolves in the forest, he will also provide hints about other side quests.
The second person you need to talk to is Vidlak the fisherman. He usually sits on his bench near the small pond. Similar to the innkeeper, he will mention hearing howls coming from the forest. Finally, you can also visit Gamekeeper Vostatek.
He can give you more information about the wolves in the forest, but you need to complete the ‘Lackey’ side quest first. Just speak to his wife at their house, and she’ll ask you to find her husband.
After talking to these three people, the game will update the quest marker, and you will need to head south to find Mutt. Go to the marked area and follow the dirt path, where you will discover another deer carcass.
Examine the corpse, then head northwest. Before proceeding, I recommend preparing yourself, as you must face a group of wolves. You can technically flee, but these wild animals are very fast, so you will likely get hurt while running away. Once you’re safe, talk to Mutt and exhaust the dialogue to complete the mission.
In short, here’s what you need to do to find Mutt in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2:
- Go to the marked area and examine the human corpse and the deer carcass.
- Go to Herbwoman Bozhena’s house and ask about Mutt.
- Talk to Innkeeper Lawrence and Vidlak the fisherman.
- Visit Gamekeeper Vostatek’s house and complete his side quest.
- Ask Gamekeeper Vostatek about Mutt.
- Head south to find your dog in the forest.
- Flee from or kill the group of wolves.
