Different enemy heads are necessary to upgrade your Flame Alter in Enshrouded. The Scavenger Matron’s head is one of the heads you’ll need. The Scavenger Matron is a big guy. It has a lot of strength and is protected by several other enemies. Finding it might actually be the easiest part of our guide. Let’s take a look at where to find a Scavenger Matron Head as well as how to defeat a Scavenger Gorger Matron in Enshrouded.

The Scavenger Gorger Matron is a boss that can be found in the Hill of Scavengers camp just southeast of the Farmer’s vault. The Hill of Scavengers is an enemy encampment filled with enemies. The Scavenger Matron is at the very center of the camp. To acquire his head, you need to take it down. This is similar to the Fell Thunderbrute that you fought at the first Elixir Well you’re asked to go to. It’s as simple as going in, defeating it, and taking the prizes head as a reward. Of course, nothing is actually that easy in Enshrouded.

How To Defeat Scavenger Matron

In our experience, we learned that you don’t need to be tough or strong to take out the enemies in the Hill of Scavengers encampment. However, you should take your time. You should be at least Level 5 if you want to have an easier tie taking everyone out. Otherwise, we recommend taking a few laps around the camp and attracting the attention of one or two of the small enemies in the camp.

Once you have their attention, run away and intermittently attack them. Eventually, they’ll stop chasing you and turn around. Use that opening to keep attacking until they’re dead. Keep doing this until all of the enemies are dead and you’re left with the Scavenger Gorger Matron in Enshrouded. Once there is only you and the Scavenger Gorger Matron, go to the center of the camp to face her. It uses a deadly, poison AoE attack, but like every other enemy in the game, distance is your friend. If you are far away enough, the Scavenger Gorger Matron will lose interest and stop attacking. you can use this time to your advantage and lay magic or projectile attacks on it.

If you have the Blacksmith and his Forge unlocked, you can create a Spectral Shield using:

  • Four Metal Sheets
  • Six Bonemeal
  • Three Charcoal
