Prowler’s Stashes are one of the many collectible sets available in Spider-Man 2. There are ten stashes scattered around New York, and Miles’ Uncle Aaron – formerly known as Prowler – has tasked Miles with collecting his old tech. You’ll need to solve a short puzzle to get at each stash, but doing so rewards you with XP and Rare Tech Points. The last Prowler Stash, located in Harlem, will only appear on your map once you’ve collected all the marked Stashes scattered around New York.
Spider-Man 2: All Prowler’s Stashes Locations
There are a total of ten Prowler Stashes in Spider-Man 2, though not all of them will show up on the map at once. Playing as Miles, you’ll unlock the stashes as a collectible after completing the “Not On My Watch” story mission. After returning from the Raft, you’ll get the story mission “Amends,” where Miles reunites with his Uncle Aaron, fresh out of prison on parole. Aaron will enlist Miles’ help in recovering some of his old tech, and the mission has you collect the first Prowler Stash on the Upper West Side.
After you’ve collected the first Prowler Stash, the locations of the other stashes will automatically appear on your map. They’re spread out pretty evenly, with one in almost every district. Each stash is outlined in glowing purple, so they’re not hard to spot. They’re also usually on rooftops, so make sure to keep your eyes on the skies rather than in the alleyways.
In order to open each Prowler Stash, you’ll need to locate a piece of code from Prowler’s suit using L2. Once the code is found, a short minigame will start, where you need to use L2 and R2 to keep two yellow dots inside marked thresholds on a slider. With the code stabilized, you’ll usually need to use your web shooters to solve a moving environmental puzzle to open the hidden location of the stash.
After you’ve collected all the Prowler Stashes, you’ll have earned 32 Rare Tech Points. In Spider-Man 2, Rare Tech Points can be used to craft important health and damage upgrades to Miles’ and Peter’s spider-suits. Additionally, by collecting the last stash in Miles’ house, you earn the “Co-Signing” bronze trophy, which is good if you’re trying to 100% the game.
