With the recent launch of Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1, players get a new bout of weapons to find, like the Shockwave Hammer. Finding it as early as possible is key to getting the most use out of it. And like other weapons, the Shockwave Hammer can completely change the way you battle. Our guide will show you how to track the Shockwave Hammer down and explain exactly how the weapon works.

Where to Find the Shockwave Hammer in Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1

Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1 Find Shockwave Hammer
Shockwave Hammer in Oathbound Chests Locations

Like any Fortnite update, Chapter 4 introduces players to plenty of new weapons, items, and unvaulted weapons. The Shockwave Hammer joins the ranks of new weapons. Finding it isn’t too difficult. You can search for ground loot via Regular Chests. However, this is a rare drop.

For a guaranteed drop, you can find the Shockwave Hammer in Oathbound Chests in Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1.

Oathbound Chests are found in various locations. If you want a quick way to track down the Shockwave Hammer, look for the Medieval sections on the map. A great place to find the Shockwave Hammer in these chests will be in The Citadel, a recent location added in Chapter 4. The map above highlights where to look in The Citadel and another location known as Faulty Splits.

Keep in mind that many players will probably have the same thought as you. So, you won’t be the only person tracking these chests down. It helps to take a squad or try not to go to any of the hot areas in the beginning if you don’t have a good enough weapon. You don’t want to find the Shockwave Hammer in Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1, only to lose it right away.

With the Shockwave Hammer in your possession, you can quickly escape danger if need be. The Shockwave Hammer allows you to bounce. You can either bounce once or continuously.

Once you have the weapon equipped, you’ll see all the button prompts on the left-hand side of your screen. These will help you navigate the weapon. Besides the bounce, you can also slam it down and deal damage.

So, the Shockwave Hammer is a versatile weapon in Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1. Use it to get away quickly when your health doesn’t look good. Or use it to propel yourself at enemies and slam down shortly after, causing fast damage. The Shockwave Hammer is even great on a team because you can use it to quickly get to your teammate or help them out of a sticky situation with a well-placed slam.

Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 1 is available on PC, PS5, and PS4 systems, Xbox One and Series consoles, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
