While you can try to make your way through Trosky and Kuttenberg with a flimsy hunting sword, the final stretch of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s story will require Henry to be equipped with the best weapons, and for that, you might need some Toledo Steel. This material might seem a bit rare at first, especially since not all crafting recipes require it. However, there are a few places where you can grab some Toledo Steel, assuming you have the money or don’t mind picking a few locks at night.
The Best Place To Get Toledo Steel in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
In short, you can get Toledo Steel in almost every Blacksmith in Kuttenberg, the second region of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Also, by Kuttenberg, we’re talking about the city, not the whole region. Almost all Blacksmiths carry around at least five pieces of Toledo Steel, which are more than enough for crafting. However, we discovered a few other places that held some of this ore. While it isn’t too expensive, you might want to save your Groschen for other things. So, if you don’t mind stealing, below is an image of the places that have this material:
From what we discovered, there were three places that had at least five pieces of Toledo Steel in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. There will likely be more places, but these are the ones we found.
- The armor shop near the Town Hall. You can fast travel to the Town Hall and walk north until you reach the shop.
- The next blacksmith is between the bathhouse you can help and the entrance of the southeastern gate.
- The other blacksmith is located next to the west gate. Just follow the road, and you’ll find it quickly.
One thing we noticed is that the one blacksmith that always has Toledo Steel is the one near the southeastern gate. We also noticed that after buying all five pieces, the blacksmith got new stock after a couple of days.
In our case, each Toledo Steel piece cost 25.4 Groschen. Buying all five might be a bit too expensive, so there is another not-so-honorable way to get the metal.
As you can see in the above image, there is a chest next to the blacksmith station. Most blacksmiths will have a chest like this either next to the forge or inside their homes. These chests are usually Hard or Very Hard to unlock, but they contain the blacksmith’s inventory, where you can grab the Toledo Steel for “free.” If you are not that good at picking locks, you can try to steal the NPC’s key to open the chest. For that, try to find where they sleep so you can follow them and pick their pockets.
Also, while there are a few recipes that require Toledo Steel in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’ll need this material to reforge the game’s iconic sword. Doing so will also give you an achievement and one of the game’s most powerful weapons that you can use right until the game’s final quest.
