Where to Get Tungsten in Astroneer
Astroneer, as a sandbox, has many different resources. And while they all vary in finding difficulty, you need them all. Some of them are only needed to build a couple of buildings, but without them, you will not be able to progress in the game. And one of these resources is Tungsten.
Tungsten is one of the hardest resources to find in Astroneer. It’s more accurate to say that you can’t find it anywhere, as it can only be obtained by smelting Wolframite in Smelting Furnace. Therefore, to find Tungsten in Astroneer, you must first find Wolframite.
Luckily, you can get it in large quantities from the caves. From caves on other planets. But don’t worry, the first planet you can fly to, called Desolo, has the resource you need.
You can quickly craft the necessary items for your first flight. However, you have to take a few important things with you, namely Tethers and Storage. Without them, it will be difficult for you to get to the caves and get a lot of Wolframite. And of course, don’t forget to take Fuel with you if you don’t want to stay on the Desolo forever.
Once you get the right amount of Wolframite, you should smelt it in Smelting Furnace. From one Wolframite, you will get one Tungsten. And then, using Tungsten, you will be able to craft new things in Astroneer:
