Killing Eve aired on BBC America in 2018 with its pilot episode, “Nice Face”. Ever since the spy thriller has earned itself a substantial following and a strong reputation as a must-see television series. Each character, regardless of moral alignment, has individual quirks and traits that make them so relatable. Here’s a list of each central Killing Eve character and their corresponding zodiac sign.
Eve Polastri – Scorpio
Scorpios are famously discreet and even secretive, with an air of mystery around them. Eve Polastri spearheads an undercover operation to track down and apprehend Villanelle without the proper jurisdiction.
Other personality traits include fearlessness, boldness, passion, creativity, and fierce loyalty. Throughout Killing Eve, its leading lady dives head-first into danger without even flinching; she remains passionate in achieving her goals, even against the odds, and Eve remains admirably loyal to her companions – namely Villanelle.
Oksana “Villanelle” Astankova – Capricorn
Capricorns are the ultimate workaholics of the zodiac signs; they’re ambitious, organized, practical, goal-oriented, and embrace the hustle. Killing Eve‘s Villanelle enjoys the finer things in life, which are obtained with riches and hard work. Even if she finds the task tedious, Villanelle will remain focused, committed, and pay attention to detail. She takes pride in her kills, so each job is a theatrical performance and executed with flair and finesse.
Besides ambition, Capricorns love to make their own rules, which means they strive to reach high career positions. In Season 3 of Killing Eve, Villanelle seeks to become a keeper – essentially her own boss – and climb the proverbial ladder of The Twelve hierarchy.
Carolyn Martens – Taurus
Taureans, like the bull that represents them, are known to be intelligent, dependable, hardworking, dedicated, and stubborn. Killing Eve‘s Carolyn Martens is all of the above. She outshines others with her impressive intellect and works hard for what she wants, but she can also be very stubborn when it comes to an opinion that opposes hers.
Just like the Taurus sign states, Carolyn has a strong desire for extravagance, contentment, and great things, which can lead to intense neediness. She appreciates the finer luxuries, like candle-lit baths and aromatherapy. She can be needy at times, as proven by her emotional attachment to Konstantin.
Konstantin Vasiliev – Cancer
The Cancer personality is loyal, protective, intuitive, and caring. As a father, Konstantin is exceedingly protective over Irina, even when she resents him. Similarly, although Villanelle is not his blood relative or offspring, Konstantin cares deeply for her wellbeing. He will do whatever it takes to keep his family safe, even if it means choosing them over Villanelle or risking his own life in the process.
On the other hand, Cancers are overly sensitive, moody, and vindictive. Konstantin is quick to anger, intolerant of foolishness, and holds grudges against anyone who wrongs him – even Villanelle. As Villanelle’s keeper, Konstantin is forceful and hypersensitive to failure or disobedience.
Kenny Stowton – Pisces
Pisces are known for being emotionally sensitive, gracious, and emotionally aware. Pisces characters are regarded for being among the most sympathetic of the zodiac signs, and they will go to great lengths to ensure the happiness of those around them. This analogy makes Kenny – by default – the most sympathetic Killing Eve character. Kenny is the type of person to avoid confrontation and keep the peace, even at the expense of his own happiness.
Additional traits for Pisces include being creative and imaginative. As an MI6 recruit and certified computer whiz, Kenny implements a level of creativity and imagination for finding ways around security walls, hacking software, and retrieving data.
Niko Polastri – Libra
Libras are extroverted, cozy, and friendly people. For the most part, Killing Eve‘s Niko is a pleasant person and considerate husband. He enjoys socializing, but will never turn down the opportunity to relax at home with a glass of wine and a bad sitcom. He rarely experiences fits of anger, so when he does, they can be quite nasty.
Librans, like the Scales that symbolize the sign, are often concerned with attaining balance, harmony, peace, and justice in the world. More often than not, Niko is the voice of reason for his wife, Eve, when she acts irrationally or places herself in danger. Furthermore, he disapproves of violence, insensitivity, and reckless endangerment.
Hugo Turner – Leo
Compassion and big-heartedness, consciousness, drive, and natural leadership are the four main characteristics of the Leo personality. Hugo may come across as more overbearing than man other Killing Eve characters, but his intentions are good and he means well. He shows initiative and respect around those more experienced than him, such as Eve, and maintains an air of professionalism even when he jokes around.
Leos are known for their generosity of time, energy, respect, and money. As a result, Leos are attracted to others. Hugo can be self-assertive at times, but he will always dedicate his time to someone in need and is rarely ever selfish. He certainly shows a keen interest in others, both sexually and romantically, which could be why he seems to get along with so many people at once.
Irina Vasilieva – Virgo
Virgos are humble, self-effacing, industrious, and practical zodiac signs, but under the surface, they are frequently natural, kind, and sympathetic. Irina is a genuine soul; she rarely ever sugarcoats the truth and is unashamed of who she is and what she wants. While not often morally sound, Irina does find undeniably practical solutions to her problems given the circumstances.
Virgoans are methodical and quick thinkers, yet they have so much mental energy that they are frequently stressed and tense. Irina is studious, but easily feels overwhelmed with tasks and responsibilities, which can lead to impromptu mood swings and defiance.
Geraldine Stowton – Aquarius
Aquarius people are advanced, self-reliant, clever, exceptional, and optimistic. The most misunderstood of Killing Eve‘s characters, Geraldine is extremely self-aware and remains optimistic even following Kenny’s death. She consoles her mother, Carolyn, despite being shunned at every turn. She sees an opportunity for their mother/daughter bond to strengthen as they are the only family members each of them has.
Aquarians, like air, lack a distinct form and appear to resist classification. They are enthusiastic and active, while some other Aquarians are calm and sensitive. Geraldine falls under the calm and sensitive category, but she can be loud and emotional when provoked, such as when Konstantin uses her to spy on Caroline and she confronts him.
Bill Pargrave – Gemini
Geminis are flexible, extroverted, and clever, and never boring to be around. Bill is always the life of the party and entertains his associates with enthralling stories of his youthful self. He can be exceptionally smart, especially when it matters most. Despite having a lackadaisical attitude at times, laziness is a harsh word.
Flaws for Geminis include indecisiveness, impulsivity, unreliability, and nosiness. In Killing Eve, the perfect example of Bill’s impulsivity is his eagerness to follow Villanelle into the nightclub without backup, knowing how dangerous she is. He is extremely nosy when it comes to Eve’s sexuality and more specifically – her fascination with Villanelle.
Dasha Duzran – Aries
Aries are self-assertive, determined, and competitive zodiac signs. They believe that everything is a competition and will do whatever it takes to win. They value honesty, good organization, optimism, and bravery. Killing Eve‘s Dasha is optimistic about her future, especially, as she believes that life owes her a relaxing retirement. She boldly stands up to Eve, even when Eve has dirt on her.
Negative Aries traits include recklessness, impatience, intolerance, and a short temper. Especially around Villanelle, Dasha lives on a short fuse. Dasha scolds Villanelle for her stupidity and demands her respect and improvement. She forcibly involves herself in other people’s affairs, such as when she attacks Niko to drive a stake between Eve and Villanelle.
Aaron Peel – Sagittarius
Sagittarians are optimistic, lovers of freedom, hilarious, fair-minded, honest, and intellectual zodiac signs. Killing Eve’s Aaron Peel is a narcissist, but if nothing else, he strongly believes in fairness, freedom, and honesty. When others discredit, oppose or humiliate him, he believes that fairness is in punishing those that deserve it and rewarding those that earn it. Out of all the Killing Eve characters, Aaron is arguably the most textbook smart character.
At their worst, Sagittarians get bored easily and move on, earning them the reputation for being the biggest commitment-phobes in the zodiac. Aaron Peel gets bored extremely easily, especially with stupidity and incompetence. He moves on from someone after extracting what he needs, especially for personal gain.
