Silva Family in Apex Legends
To answer the question of who Silva is in Apex Legends, you have to narrow down which Silva you’re thinking about. Let’s start at the top with Torres Silva. Torres is an antagonist in the game. Although he looks young, the wealthy man is 100 years old. It’s all attributed to his creation of Stim, an item some players may recognize.
To steer focus back to Torres Silva in Apex Legends, the man is the CEO of Silva Pharmaceuticals. However, he no longer runs it under his name. Instead, he uses the name of his now-deceased son Eduardo Silva.
The main reason Torres founded Silva Pharmaceuticals in Apex Legends was in an effort to cure Eduardo of his sickness. The cure, Stim, came far too late as Eduardo succumbed to his disease. Torres promptly did away with the death certificate to successfully run the company under his new identity.
That isn’t all in the family line of the Silva name. Now comes perhaps the most well-recognized of the trio: Octane.
Octane and Torres Silva Story
According to the game’s lore, Torres looks down on our Legend Octane. Much of his apathy toward his grandson comes due to how easily Octane uses Stim, the one thing that failed to come in time to save Eduardo. The two would go on to butt heads frequently.
In Apex Legends, Silva discovered Octane behind the break-in at his company. He quickly involved the war profiteer Cherisse Che, the mother of Lifeline, as the game’s other Legend joined Octane during the break-in.
The relationship between grandfather and grandson remained tense to downright cold. However, Torres Silva proves himself a wise and brutal businessman as he eventually becomes the leader of the Mercenary Syndicate.
