Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus turned heads at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb 5. The 31-year-old walked away with two Grammys for Best Pop Vocal Performance and Record of the Year for “Flowers,” marking her first-ever Grammy win.
Her live performance of “Flowers” apparently caught the attention of Full House actor John Stamos, who congratulated the “megastar” with a heartwarming Instagram post.
Stamos shared a throwback picture of a young Miley Cyrus in her father Billy Ray Cyrus’ arms as Stamos greets them in his full Uncle Jesse get-up.
Young Miley Ray Cyrus chews on a stage pass as her father, Billy Ray, converses with John Stamos. Cyrus can be no more than a few years old in the image, but she hardly resembles her older self.
Stamos captioned the image: “If you would have told me that Billy Ray ’s little girl would be the badass megastar that she is today… Congrats on your first Grammy win @mileycyrus”, he added. “Thank you for sharing your talent with the world. Btw – my hair was very jealous of yours last night.”
The now-60-year-old star earned himself a reputation for not only his talent, but also his luscious locks. But on Sunday night, he couldn’t help but be fiercely jealous of Miley’s hairdo.
Many fans were speculative about the post, especially due to the suspicion that Miley isn’t talking to her father — and hasn’t been for a long time. She never referred to Billy Ray Cyrus in her Grammys speech, but rather thanked “my mommy, my sister, my love, my main gays because look how good I look.”
Dubbed the “Pop Chameleon,” Cyrus is the proud holder of a GLAAD Media Award, one Bambi Award, five Billboard Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, and eight Guinness World Records. She can now add her shiny new Grammys to that impressive list of accolades.
