Meghan McCain is definitely not on Jennifer Lopez‘s side as her world continues to crumble. Things haven’t been going well in the singer’s career and personal life. Her ninth studio album, This Is Me…Now, released in February, was a commercial flop. Afterward, her summer tour of the same name suffered low ticket sales and was canceled. Amid all this commotion, Lopez’s rekindled love life with Ben Affleck is in shambles. The couple is believed to be heading towards a messy divorce after just two years of marriage.
While this seems a lot for anyone to handle, especially in the spotlight, Meghan McCain isn’t surprised JLo is the recipient of such bad luck. The television personality recently dished on Lopez’s current flop era on an episode of her podcast, Citizen McCain. The political commentator explained she has been on the receiving end of Lopez’s mean-girl energy.
“I, too, share similar negative stories that the entire world does. I feel bad because we’re turning a point where there’s bullying happening to JLo. But she just is a deeply unpleasant person.”

The Republican party member recalled a specific nasty experience that happened while Lopez visited the set of The View. McCain was a co-host on the famous daytime show for four years before her exit in 2021. “She had the biggest entourage I’ve ever seen,” McCain said of the actress’s diva behavior. “More than Kim Kardashian and the president. I just don’t really understand why it was needed.”
McCain added that Lopez topped off her arrogant display by being rude. “She was not nice. You don’t always have to be so nice, but it was surprising that people like Kim Kardashian couldn’t be more delightful,” John McCain’s daughter lamented.
Did Jennifer Lopez Attack Meghan McCain’s Podcast?
However, it seems McCain’s real beef with the triple-threat entertainer has something to do with her podcast. The media personality and her co-host Miranda Wilkins alleged that JLo had a video of theirs removed from TikTok. “She had our video taken down,” McCain claimed, to which Wilkins added, “We’re beefing with her right now.”
The clip in question was from an April episode of the podcast, in which the ladies chatted about Lopez’s “PR mess” and offered advice on how she could fix it. During the episode, McCain spoke about how Lopez’s massive entourage included a man “whose entire job it was to hold up a mirror with lights.” Condemning the act, the author said, “I remember being like, ‘That poor man. What a weird job.'” It seems Lopez wasn’t a big fan of the comment and had their clip scrubbed from the platform. However, it has since been restored.
The New York Post confirms that TikTok’s reporting process is anonymous, so it can’t be certain if JLo is the culprit. However, McCain believes the Hollywood star had something to do with it, and there seems to be no changing her mind anytime soon.
