After a long day of work, you just want to get home, and you encounter two guys beating each other in the subway for whatever reason. This is no ordinary underground trip experience in New York, but these two are making it happen with a subway brawl that nobody asked for.
In a video published in the r/PublicFreakout Subreddit, two men are throwing punches and kicks at each other in a New York subway. The rage could be triggered by anything from an insult to an unwanted contact that has led to a physical altercation. Regardless, the fight begins as the white man tries to beat the other one while he’s struggling to get his feet off the bicycle that’s lying on the floor.
The brawl continues as the passengers stand by, watching and documenting the events unfolding between the two. The white guy, wearing no shoes, has the upper hand at first, but it only takes seconds until the black man defeats him. Or as one commenter puts it, “soon as the bike was out the way it was over, so over that im typing this & there’s like 30 seconds left of the video.” Another one goes “hell that bike was a active member in the fight,” which is totally true as it really did change the odds for both of them.
Only a few direct punches to the head and a kick to the body, and the fight seems to be over for the white guy, who appears to own that bike. The second half of the video is only him on the ground, while people finally make an attempt to set the two apart. A woman in 0:42 of the clip says, “he just said sorry,” implying that the white man has probably said or done something to infuriate the black guy. This is while the full context of this subway brawl in New York remains unknown to most.
“Spider-Man No More!” says one user in the comments section, probably referencing the scene in Spider-Man 2 where Peter Parker stopped a train. The brawl ends with both parties seeming fine and walking it off. No sign of blood or concussion, but those hits to the white man’s head should be checked for possible internal damage. Stay safe.
