Season 4 Release of Manifest Series After Cancellation
Before fans dreamed of a Manifest Season 4, they were shocked. The show was pulled off the air by NBC due to poor viewership during season 3. Fortunately, Netflix approved of a new season due to the patriotic spirit of producer Rake. He began a fan campaign that gained ground and influenced the streaming giant.
The release of Manifest season 4 in November 2022 followed. Now fans can get ready to view the remaining ten episodes set for release this month. For the past two, the mystery drama has retained most of its cast members; however, their stories have evolved.
Manifest Series Season 5 Release Date, Storyline
Sadly, there may not be a season 5, leading fans to believe the previous season was the final Manifest series ending. Unlike season 3, the following season did not end in a cliffhanger. From the word go, the story’s creator, Jeff Rake, intended to have a complete plot for Manifest season 4. When Netflix announced interest in the series renewal, Rake confirmed it was time to say goodbye— so no, there was never a Netflix cancellation.
While sharing his excitement for the news, he credited his team for creating an interesting story before adding:
“We will be able to reward the fans with the ending they deserve moves me to no end.”
Despite not seeing Manifest season 5 come to life, fans will forever remember the glory days of the mystery drama, as they are now doing ahead of the latest release.
The Story & Cast of the Netflix Series
In 2018, Manifest series Season 1 was released. It told a story of how time passed for Montego Air Flight 828 passengers. They intended to touch down in Jamaica in 2013 but were victims of air turbulence. Once that was resolved, they realized that the lives they once lived had changed dramatically. Though the passengers refused to age after spending only a few hours on air, their families back home had gone five years without them.
Throughout season 1, Manifest took viewers on a rollercoaster ride, trying to uncover the truth behind the mystery of time and what happened between 2013 to 2018 to passengers who had been declared dead.
Recall that despite reuniting with their families, passengers from the 828 flights were met with dangerous situations— they were hunted.
The showrunners, including Jeff Rake, David Frankel, and Robert Zemeckis, whipped up four seasons to give a detailed analysis of the plot twist. And through the years, they teamed up with a host of willing cast members committed to bringing to life their characters.
Melissa Roxburgh (Michaela), Josh Dallas (Ben), Athena Karkanis (Grace), Parveen Kaur (Saanvi), and J.R. Ramirez (Jared) carried on with their roles on the Manifest series from the beginning to the end. Not to forget, Jack Messina, the stone’s son (Cal Stone), grew up on the show.
