Will Redfall be available on Xbox One or PS5 on the release date? With multiple gaming platforms for players to choose from, it’s always nice to know which hardware a highly anticipated game will launch on. Redfall is a first-person shooter about fighting vampires published by Bethesda Softworks. Microsoft purchased Bethesda, along with every other studio that was part of ZeniMax Media. This has made fans concerned if Redfall will make its way onto other hardware besides the Xbox Series X/S, including the PlayStation 5. Fans also want to know if the game will be playable on older console generations like the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Will Redfall Be Available on Xbox One or PS5?
Redfall will not launch on the Xbox One or the PlayStation 5. The game will only launch for the Xbox Series X/S, PC gaming, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. The title can only be purchased and downloaded from the Microsoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store. Players can technically play Redfall on the Xbox One via the Xbox Cloud Gaming. But they won’t be able to download or load the game’s disc on the console itself.
There are no announcements that the game will arrive on other platforms later. The PS5 version of the title was canceled before the game launched. With Bethesda now owned by Microsoft, it made sense for Microsoft not to launch the title on a competitor’s platform. Microsoft is now more focused on pushing the Xbox Series brand rather than its older hardware. While many still play with their Xbox One, it was only a matter of time for Microsoft to stop supporting the Xbox One.

Redfall will also not have 50 frames-per-second (FPS) at launch on the Xbox, upsetting fans who hoped to play the game with the best frame rates. On better news, Redfall will have Multiplayer Co-Op on release date, allowing players to play together.
