This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 took fans by surprise with three mind-blowing ending scenes. It has been five years that we have been waiting to know more about Miles and Peter’s adventure on Earth-1048, and now we know what happens to these two Spider-Men after defeating a new villain. But the question remains: what’s next? The ending scenes brought some characters to a good conclusion but left enough teases in the future. New characters, a new story, and probably a new big villain await in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 or maybe Miles Morales 2 game.

Spoiler Alert! The following content includes a bunch of spoilers for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 story ending.

Yes, Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is definitely a thing, or at least there will be a Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales 2 in the future. The recent game’s ending gives us too many clues to follow, featuring the next big bad enemy. In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 ending, Norman Osborn goes mad and tries to inject the Goblin serum, AKA the G-Serum, into Harry’s weak body.

Norman sees the fall of his son at the hands of Spider-Man, and that’s why he wants to kill the friendly neighborhood hero once and for all. Harry the Green Goblin is teased in this ending, and Norman even goes to contact Dr. Octavius, an old friend and enemy from Spider-Man 1.

The scene where Norman Osborn goes to the Raft prison to see Doc Oc is exactly the teaser for Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 game. Doc Oc is seemingly writing a book and tells Norman that it’s called the “Final Chapter.” This could probably mean that the Marvel’s Spider-Man games are a trilogy, and the third one will complete the overall story. However, there’s also another teaser for a future Spider-Man game in the ending.

One of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 endings shows Rio, Miles’ mother, inviting his date to their house. However, this date is no other than Albert Moon, and he has his famous daughter with him, Cindy Moon! For those who read Marvel Comics, this is huge news for Marvel’s Spider-Man story going forward.

Cindy Moon is a character from Marvel Comics that is called the “Silk.” She is also bitten by a radioactive spider, and she’ll presumably become the next protege of Peter to be a Spider-Woman. Since Gwen Stacy is not around, this is a very good choice by the developers to add a third character to the roaster. However, this can also mean that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales 2 is at work.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is available now on PS5.
