A girl in Wisconsin has made sure to share a video thanking the Trump administration and the Department of Education for listening to her pleas. Apparently, New Richmond School District was allowing “biological males” to enter girls’ bathrooms, which made many girls uncomfortable. This led to the Trump administration opening an investigation into the matter.
The girl shared a short video where she was thanking the administration, the Department of Education, and Moms for Liberty for their efforts. She even described the news of the investigation as “the best news ever.” The girl then said, “Thank you for hearing our cries, our pleas, and care so much about our dignity and privacy, and this is for the girls who were too scared to share their voice.”
The Department of Education also shared a tweet announcing the news as they wrote, “ED launched a Title IX probe into a Wisconsin district that allegedly allowed biological males in girls’ bathrooms. One student testified about her fear. Both she & concerned parents were ignored. The Trump Admin will always defend girls’ safety, dignity & rights at school.”
This matter has been going on since last February. A tweet shared back then alleged that Nikki Benson, who is the principal of New Richmond High School in Wisconsin, was allowing transgender students to use girls’ bathroom. She allegedly wrote in an email, “Please know that if your daughter is not comfortable using the girls’ bathroom, we do have single, private, bathrooms available for her to use.”
People Reacting to the Wisconsin Girl Thanking the Trump Administration
A lot of people were proud of the Wisconsin girl for speaking up about her discomfort. “Thank you for speaking up!” one person wrote. Another person said, “It’s sad that a student even has to thank the government for something so basic.” Someone else wrote, “81 yr old pissed off Army Vet grandpa here. [Expletive] right, Trump’s team is finally protecting our girls from this perverted nonsense in schools. No more weak-kneed policies—kick out the predators and enforce real boundaries!” Another commenter also said, “A high school student had to thank the federal government just to get basic privacy in girls’ bathrooms taken seriously. That tells you how far things went. Title IX was meant to protect women and girls. Restoring that common sense is long overdue.”
More people expressed their support for the girl as one person wrote, “Proud resident of New Richmond and educator here (I teach at a nearby University not in the NR school district… views are my own). I am so proud of my little town for standing up for our girls and against the madness. Thank you all for shining a light on this. Our community is so grateful.” Another person said, “It’s about time someone stepped in to do something for these poor girls. Their private spaces are being invaded like this all over this country. I can’t imagine much more humiliating for a teenage girl than changing clothes or going to the bathroom with a male in the room.” People will always be divided on such a matter.
