A Christian woman living in Florida probably wasn’t expecting to summon the “witches of TikTok” when she announced she was embarking on “spiritual warfare” against anyone who dared to have bumper stickers promoting witchcraft on their car. But summon them she did.
In a viral video posted to TikTok, the woman, who goes by @trishafenimore, said she was sitting in traffic when a bumper sticker on the vehicle ahead caught her attention. According to her, it included references to witchcraft, “mischief,” and “Dementors.”
To her, that warranted prayers, whether the occupants of the vehicle wanted them or not.
“I’m not gonna take this lying down,” the woman said. “I’m going to intercede on your behalf. I’m going to engage in spiritual warfare, honey, whether you like it or not. Cause I don’t need your consent. I am going to pray for you and your family so hard. You are gonna feel just a little bit lighter in your day.”
She also challenged viewers who might want to follow in the other driver’s footsteps, promising that her prayers “are gonna hunt you down and chase you down for miles.”
Once the video started making the rounds, it didn’t take long before it reached the “witches of TikTok,” who were more than willing to accept the challenge.
They Responded in Her Comments
The woman’s rather intense TikTok drew responses from plenty of people who identified with witchcraft. Some appeared to be trolling her right back, while others seemed quite serious about returning the favor.
“You just summoned a generation of millennial witches,” one person commented. Another announced, “Your name is now in my freezer.” A third said, “Im gonna go buy more witchy stuff rn just because of this video.” A fourth added, “Gurrrrllll I cannot WAIT to burn a candle just for you specifically in my meditation tonight.”
One viewer even shared a photo of several books on witchcraft and spellcraft, writing, “Let me consult some of my books so I can return the favor!”
Besides those who claimed to practice witchcraft, some netizens were less amused by the woman’s post. “There’s no hate like Christian love,” one comment read. “Does threatening people with prayer make you feel closer to God???” another asked. “This is why I can’t hang out with religious people 😭 it’s to [sic] much,” someone else added.
Some fellow Christians also disagreed with her approach. One wrote, “Hi, fellow Believer here. The correct answer is to pray in silence, not out loud and full of anger.” Another remarked, “I’d rather watch a video of you just praying for them. Skip the ‘threats’. God bless.”
If anyone expected the response to make the woman rethink her original video, that didn’t happen. She later addressed the “witches” directly in another video, saying she was “very unbothered” by people threatening to put her name in jars and freezers. She maintained that her Christian faith gave her no reason to fear witchcraft and even took a few jabs at the practice.
Still, she ended on a softer note, saying she hoped those criticizing her would one day encounter the God she believes in and realize that he loves them regardless of whether they love him in return.
