A woman claims she was taking a break at the Alabama Welcome Center when she was approached by a worker. According to her, the worker was being a “Karen” and standing next to her watching her even though she didn’t do anything. This TikToker felt like she was being followed for no reason.
TikToker @mstransformation_beauty stopped at the Alabama Welcome Center to take a break after driving several hours. She alleges that she wasn’t doing anything except sitting there when a “Karen on duty” employee came and stood next to her, watching her every move. As this TikToker says, “This is a public space, ma’am! Get out of my face!”
In her video, she starts recording the employee, saying, “She’s harassing me, not doing her work at all.” The worker is playing with her keys and staring at this TikToker, closely watching her every move. It’s unknown if she did something that warranted this treatment before she started recording. But this worker isn’t about to let her have a moment of peace alone. She claims that the worker was standing there “for the last ten minutes” just playing with her keys and watching her.
Finally, the TikToker has had enough and gets up so she can leave the area. She watches in disbelief as the employee gets inside a golf cart and comes after her, trying to locate her. The worker pulls up next to her in her vehicle, staring at her, and then continues on down the road. She says to her audience, “That’s crazy work!”
The video immediately sparked reactions from commenters. One commenter stated, “I wish I had the time these folks have to be worried about other folks and what they doing.” Another pointed out, “And she keeps jingling those darn keys! You’re so calm… I don’t know how!” Others state that the worker may have been trying to “look intimidating” to her. At this point, it’s unknown what prompted the worker to stand and watch her so closely. But if it was unprompted, it was definitely unwarranted.
