The launch trailer for World War Z is here and it’s packed full of flesh-eating zombies. The series started as a book then became a movie and is soon to be playable on PlayStation, Xbox One, and PC.
Saber Interactive released the trailer online. The co-op shooter has the feel of Left 4 Dead with the amount of zombie killing action we get from the little over one-minute-long video. However, where Valve’s zombie slayer game differs it Saber’s dynamic Swarm Engine.
That’s the engine responsible for allowing hundreds of the flesh-eating creatures to be on the screen at one time. Swarm, aptly named after the zombie swarms, gives them the ability to behave and act uniquely. They’ll climb on each other like a ladder to reach players and get trapped in narrow hallways. The zombies are quick and able to move as a herd, meaning you’ll have to be just as fast to stay alive.

World War Z will give you six player classes to choose from plus a lot of weapons including explosives, turrets, and traps. You’ll be able to level up your character and collect new weapons along the way.
There are many places to visit as well. The game will take you across the world through the four-player co-op campaign visiting New York, Jerusalem, Moscow, and Tokyo. However, you will be fighting more than just the undead. Players will also battle against other opponents in team-based players vs. players vs. zombies multiplayer.
World War Z is available to pre-order now. For anyone who does so, they will gain access to a free weapons pack.
The game releases on April 16th. For PC gamers, it will only be available through the Epic Games store.
World War Z is being published by Paris based company Focus Home Interactive.
