Unlike PlayStation, Xbox changes the homepage every few years. For example, we’ve seen two different user interfaces for Xbox One, but PlayStation 4’s user interface never had a significant redesign. Some of you might think this is unnecessary, but the Xbox team is working on a new homepage. The development process was started a long time ago, and finally, the update will be accessible to the users. You still have time to use the current homepage, but it will be changed in the future. Here are those who are eligible to use the new Xbox homepage design that is in the test process.
Xbox Consoles Will Have a New Homepage Design
The team aims to bring everything you need with your console to one page. Many changes happened since the last redesign, and there was nowhere to put the new features. The new homepage design gives more space to the developers, and the page isn’t filled with unrelated features now. The head of the development made an announcement on Xbox Wire:
“We know the Xbox homepage is where our gamers spend a lot of their time, and it’s a space that’s very personal. We also know we can always be listening and learning how we can do better here while keeping your experience fast and familiar.”
The new homepage isn’t available for everyone for now. It will be released after the team gets the feedback and makes the best experience. Some of the Insiders will be able to download the beta update. The team expects to release the update in 2023, but the exact date isn’t unveiled. The redesign won’t be exclusive to the new generation; it’ll also be available for the Xbox One family.
The only shared image is above, but we can’t say it will be the final design. They might be minor changes, and the 2023 version might look different. We will wait and see the new homepage design in the coming months.
