The story of Monkey Island is one many of us are all too familiar with, but for the sake of this article let’s have a little recap. This sequel to one of LucasArts most beloved I.P.’s brings back both novice pirate Guybrush Threepwood and his Zombie nemesis LeChuck. It’s an adventure shallow on new ideas. With Guybrush once again setting out on an intrepid journey. This time to find the fabled treasure known as, Big Whoop. The game’s classic adventure style gameplay is revamped with a new coat of paint, as the special edition has been designed from the ground up with new hand drawn animations and a re-engineered score. Plus you can jump between this new style and the original game’s look with just the click of a button.

Disney and EA are now working towards an interesting arrangement with their Star Wars license. With Star Wars Battlefront now out and a sequel, along with games from Respawn and Visceral circulating the rumormill. However before this partnership there were some pretty good Star Wars games. Including Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. The force unleashed tells an interesting narrative, as it is set between the events of episode 3 and 4 and tells the story of Darth Vader’s apprentice. The game itself is a competent hack and slash action game that gives players the opportunity to truly hold the power of the force in their hands.
