Microsoft has been working hard to maintain its share of the console market. One way they’ve made an impact is through Game Pass, the service that puts games to download on a subscription service. Before the advent of Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft relied on freebies through Xbox Live Gold. Starting at $10 bucks a month, the service gives Xbox owners access to online play but also a few free games. At the start of every month, Xbox announces the new titles that will be available with a gold subscription. Now, Xbox has finally unveiled the Xbox Live games with gold for January of 2022.
What New Games Are Headed to Xbox Live Gold In January?
While many people still prefer Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live Gold still offers a good value. Being the cheapest subscription Xbox has to offer, it’s easy to see why many would go with just a Live Gold subscription. This month subscribers will have access to 4 games. Titles like Space Invaders: Infinity Gene, Radiant Silvergun, NeuroVoider, and Aground. While the gold subscription only comes with a few new titles alongside some Xbox 360 ones, the value is still great.
With over $50 in value from the games, Xbox Live Gold in January provides a good balance of free titles. While some might not always be amazing, the range and value are amazing. Seeing how you can keep the free titles, many prefer the service over Xbox’s other offerings. Despite this, XboxGame Pass does host a whole lot of newer games even if they will all eventually leave the service one day. Yet, despite not letting users keep the games, Xbox at least gives a notice when exactly certain video games are going to be delisted from the service.
