Xbox has always focused on customization and exclusive looks for its consoles and controllers, from Barbie tie-ins to video game-centered styles. Today, the company has announced Xbox Series X console wraps, including styles for Bethesda’s upcoming RPG, Starfield, and camo variants.
The Starfield variant comes at the perfect time. As people get hyped for the galactic RPG, they can get a custom headset and controller with the NASApunk style that Bethesda has been championing. The design fits well for the biggest fans hoping to complete their gaming setup with the same aesthetic.
Xbox Announces Series X Console Wraps, including Starfield and Two Camo Styles
The announcement gives a detailed look at each of the three styles – Starfield, Arctic Camo, and Mineral Camo. The Starfield and Arctic Camo wraps have a simpler, neutral look. The Starfield version delivers highlights of the console’s components that are reminiscent of the computers you will interact with on your ship as you explore the universe. If you want something bold to pop onto your entertainment setup, then Mineral Camo’s blue and purple will be eye-catching when you have guests over.
The Xbox console wraps are a cheaper alternative to buying or winning a custom console. The company has plenty of limited-time customized consoles that have gone on sale, and others are made as giveaways. This year, giveaways for exclusive consoles include Armored Core 6, Spongebob, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Even buying a custom controller gets expensive, but these will be affordable ways to have a flashy console without buying the equivalent of multiple AAA games.
Due to the release of the space-faring RPG in early September, the company is trying to push out these Xbox console wraps as soon as possible. Pre-orders are live with an October 18 release for the Starfield variant for $49.99, six weeks after the game’s release. The camo styles will be released on November 10 for $44.99 each.
