Actor Luke Grimes is best known for his role as Kayce Dutton on the wildly popular TV series Yellowstone. On the show, Grimes portrays the rough and tough cowboy who is torn between right, wrong, and family obligation. However, in reality, the actor reportedly knows exactly what he wants to do, and it might include him stepping away from acting. With the end of Yellowstone drawing near, it looks like music is the priority for Grimes.
Sources tell Life & Style that Grimes is ready to walk away from acting for the time being. However, that doesn’t mean that he’ll be stepping out of the spotlight. Instead, he allegedly plans to pursue his music full-time. Die-hard Yellowstone fans likely already know about the actor’s budding music career and stunning voice. Nevertheless, they will be sad that he reportedly won’t be appearing on television or movies in the future. He’s seemingly told those close to him that it’s all about the music going forward.
Luke Grimes Focused On Music After Yellowstone Ends
“He’s not taking on other acting offers right now,” an insider tells the magazine. “Luke’s really looking to hit the road sometime soon.” Meanwhile, the actor-turned-singer has lined up a huge gig this spring. He’ll be performing at the Stagecoach Festival in April. The insider says that playing at the music festival has been a “lifelong dream” for Grimes.
Although releasing mainstream music may be new for Luke Grimes, he’s previously revealed that he’s also been musical. “Growing up in church I played drums in the worship band. I was always in bands, even when I was in New York or L.A.,” he told Taste of Country.
However, being on the set of Yellowstone with other country singers like Ryan Bingham and Lainey Wilson reportedly inspired him. “Ryan is just a great guy. I love being around him. He’s just got the best energy, the best spirit, and if I’ve learned anything from him musically, it’s just by watching him do what he does.”
While fans will definitely miss Luke Grimes on their TV screens after Yellowstone ends, it seems that they’ll have to settle for hearing him on the radio instead.
