Former Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is drawing backlash after questioning whether Juanita Broaddrick actually called her an “insufferable [expletive]” over a video of near-$7 diesel prices in Tampa, Florida. In a post on X, Greene said she has met Broaddrick and does not believe the longtime Trump ally would write the insult herself, suggesting a paid social media staffer may have posted it. Online users reacted by calling Greene a “quitter” and “traitor” after her break with President Trump.
The exchange began on X after former Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a video from a Shell station in central Florida showing regular gasoline at $4.79 and diesel at $6.98 a gallon.
The Saturday clip, later shared and quoted by other accounts, drew wide circulation before Juanita Broaddrick, posting as @atensnut, quoted it with the caption, “Poor Florida. What an insufferable [expletive]!”
The video shows Greene standing beneath the station sign, pointing to the prices and saying diesel is “almost $7” a gallon. In the clip, she says, “Americans did not vote for this. They cannot afford it. It is going to crush our economy, and it’s only just getting started,” and adds, “Trump is destroying this country by fighting Iran, and there’s no end in sight.”
She also says, “We voted for what, gas under $2? That that’s what we were promised,” and, “People are pissed.” The footage does not show the station’s location beyond the sign and does not identify who is filming. In the accompanying text, Greene called the prices “all Trump’s fault,” and said, “We did not vote for this.”
After Broaddrick’s quote post, Greene said she has met Broaddrick and “doesn’t seem like the type” to use that language, questioning whether “some social media consultant’s company posted this on her account.” That claim has not been independently confirmed, and Broaddrick’s post remains on her account.
Responses to the Florida Diesel Exchange
Some users said they were “very surprised to see Juanita posted that” and hoped she would take it down.
Others supported Greene’s suspicion, writing that large MAGA accounts may have been “sold” and are now run by “a machine or media team.”
A separate group rejected that reading and focused on Greene’s break with Trump. One reply called her “a quitter and a traitor,” and another said she “quit, conveniently after you gained a cushy pension.”
Several women also disputed her point about the wording itself, saying “many women your age and older do frequently use the word” and that they are among them.
The dispute over Broaddrick’s post is now part of a broader argument over Greene’s break with Trump and record diesel prices. Whether the insult came from Broaddrick herself remains unconfirmed, even as both sides continue to press their case online.
