Although he never refers to himself as a pro gamer, Elon Musk takes pride in calling himself a decent one. He mentioned playing games like Diablo, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. However, his recent obsession is a popular action RPG called Path of Exile 2, which is a challenging game that requires significant time and effort. Recently, he streamed himself playing PoE 2 endgame content, and it didn’t take long for fans to notice that something was amiss.
Streamer and YouTuber Quin69TV watched Elon Musk’s PoE 2 gameplay while commenting on various mistakes he made. The first thing that raised his suspicions was the fact that Musk’s PoE 2 map was named ‘Elon’s Map.’ “Who refers to their map in the third person?” Quin asked.
Musk also appeared lost as he examined the endgame map, with his mouse hovering over the map nodes for several seconds. Another odd habit was his tendency to drag items into another slot instead of simply clicking them. To be fair, it could just be a personal habit, but it’s still strange, considering clicking is faster.
Quin also found it strange that Musk entered a Crypt dungeon with a full inventory. Considering that the amount of items a character can carry is limited in Path of Exile 2, it’s always a good idea to store unimportant items in a chest before heading out. Quin was visibly annoyed when he saw Musk running past a Chaos Orb. “He just ran past a Chaos Orb!” Quin exclaimed. “Dude, you’re not this far in the game and running past Chaos Orbs!”
Chaos Orb is one of several currencies players can obtain from defeating enemies in PoE 2, which can reroll modifiers on rare items. Players can also use this currency to trade with others, making Chaos Orb highly valuable to endgame players. Perhaps Musk considers himself above such measly currency?
