Since President Trump was first elected to office in 2016, supporters have been coming out of the woodwork to condemn anyone who doesn’t have love for the businessman. Trump supporters tend to be incredibly like-minded and don’t really allow for outside thinking to pollute whatever their ideologies are. However, one supporter at a rally in Washington DC started to question why everyone who supports former President Joe Biden went to college or has some form of higher education.
In the above video, YouTuber Adam Mockler makes his way to a Trump rally in Washington, D.C., where he speaks to several of the men there. One man in particular reveals that he’s made an interesting discovery about those who support the Democratic party: they all went to college. The man continues to say that since it’s only those who go to college with this ideology, the subjects being taught at these colleges should be looked into.
In fact, he blames it all on woke culture. Mockler doesn’t try to aggravate anyone in his conversation but genuinely tries to explain why that might be the case. He cites that colleges typically teach things like inclusivity and respecting others, to which the man simply replies, “yeah, woke.” The original poster commented on the video, explaining things even further.
“In university, you’re immersed in a diverse environment filled with individuals from varied upbringings, values, belief systems, and socio-economic backgrounds. This exposure naturally fosters an appreciation for nuance, steering you away from rigid ‘either/or’ thinking.”
Fortunately, many of the commenters under the video agree. However, there are still those who feel that those sided more with the left are only doing so as a result of hivemind methodologies.
“It’s no mystery. MAGA would want you to believe that it’s indoctrination. But education opens you up to new worlds and cultures. New people and points of view.”
Ideally, now that Trump has taken his second, but not consecutive, term in office, I’d like to think that more people will look into whatever they believe ‘wokeness’ to be. However, considering the push towards quickly implementing everything that Trump had wanted to do before leaving the White House, that doesn’t seem very likely.
