Friendships can be wonderful but sometimes tricky. Amazon has released the trailer for its upcoming raunchy comedy Ricky Stanicky, starring Zac Efron and John Cena. The film also stars Andrew Santino, Jermaine Fowler, William H. Macy, Jane Badler, Debra Lawrance, and Lex Scott Davis.

The premise of the film is that the High School Musical star and his two best friends (Santino and Fowler) have made up a friend to get out of things they did not want to be a part of. The lie gets stretched too far as they miss an important baby delivery when they are out partying with their imaginary friend. Now, they must hire an actor, played by the wrestler-turned-actor, to bring this character to life to cover their years’ worth of lies.

The footage of Ricky Stanicky shows all kinds of mischief that Zac Efron, John Cena, and their co-stars get into. The WWE star goes from a mess with urine on himself to climbing his way into the professional lives of the men who hired him to cause more problems. We get plenty of alcohol-fueled fun and sexual gestures from the H. Macy.

Two-time Oscar-winner Peter Farrelly directed and co-wrote the film. Going from more serious work like Green Book, the Dumb and Dumber director is back in comedy. He co-wrote the script with Jeff Bushell, Brian Jarvis, James Lee Freeman, Pete Jones, and Mike Cerrone.

The two leads have plenty of comedy chops that should mix well for their first collaboration. Coming off his compelling performance in The Iron Claw, Zac Efron jumps into Ricky Stanicky following a string of similar films like Baywatch and both Neighbors movies. Meanwhile, his co-star has starred in The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, Vacation Friends, and Trainwreck.
