2020 marked the ten-year anniversary of Call of Duty Black Ops; needless to say, it has been a wild ride. Earlier this month, Activision and Treyarch released a video commemorating the tenth anniversary of Black Ops 1. In the trailer, the audience bears witness to Mason’s escape and missions throughout the cold war. Some believed this trailer to be a precursor to a remastered version of Call of Duty Black Ops or a tease towards the rumored Call of Duty: Cold War. While we wait for this news, many have resorted to drinking, playing video games, and watching TikTok videos to pass the time.
Speaking of drinking, I stumbled across a TikTok channel that specializes in mixed drink concoctions; the user’s TikToker’s handle is @sincitybartender. A majority of the drink videos are alcoholic mixtures with pop culture themes. The first video I ever saw from SinCity was about how to make a Quick Revive video. When I looked at the mixture, I was reminded of the Firecracker popsicle. Now, sadly, I do not have the ingredients to make it myself, but each time I come across one of these themed drinks, I have the urge to play the game they are associated with.
Over the last decade, the Black Ops brand has excelled due to Call of Duty Zombies. Sin City’s Zombie mixtures create a nostalgic feeling when looking back at the Zombies franchise. With 2020 being Treyarch’s year, we can easily expect that the new game will have some sort of Zombies. If you were alive and playing zombies when it first released, then you are probably old enough to try these Zombie Perks inspired mixes.
