There are many One Piece-themed games on Roblox, but few can offer a satisfying seafaring experience. If you’re itching to go on a grand adventure, then Legacy Piece should be on your radar. Here, you can build your character and meet up with iconic characters from the popular anime series. Before you take on the East Blue though, read up all the starter tips and basics in our Roblox Legacy Piece Beginners Guide.
1. Legacy Piece Starter Tips: Important Keys You Have To Remember, Including How To Run
Some Roblox games let you run by holding Shift, or you can switch to double-tapping movement keys. For Legacy Piece, though, double-tapping W is the only way you can run.
Speaking of important buttons in our Legacy Piece Beginners Guide, you can dash by pressing Q. It eats 10 stamina per dash so you can do it over and over but it’s a decent way to close gaps. Dashing will also not drop any quest item you’re carrying.
H key is used to grip opponents, and B let’s you carry items. While fighting, you can also block by pressing F but some attacks are unblockable like boar’s. Lastly, remember that the Menu screen can be opened by pressing M.
2. Roblox Legacy Piece Beginners Guide: Setting Up Spawn Crystal
Spawn Crystal is an important object in Legacy Piece as it dictates where you’ll reappear when die. You don’t want to sail from one island to another every time you fall in battle, right? Each island should have at least one Crystal in a strategic location, such as near essential NPCs. But for bigger islands like Foosha, you can find another Spawn Crystal somewhere near quest objectives. Just walk near it and hold E to activate a Crystal.
3. Getting Better in Combat: The Basics
Combos in Legacy Piece have a cooldown, so you cannot just mash M1 and hope for the best. You need to be a bit more strategic when approaching enemies. The best way to start an engagement is by closing in quickly with a dash/Q and doing your combo. When your combo is finished, you won’t be able to attack for around 2 seconds or so. Keep your distance by dashing backward or sideways. When you’re ready to strike again, wait until your target is a few meters in front of you then mash the M1! Also, remember to lock your camera with Shift to make activating the run button much easier.
Blocking with F is also somewhat pointless. Oftentimes, enemies’ combos will end up breaking your block anyway. And once broken you’ll be stuck in a stunned state, leaving you wide open for even more damage.
4. Roblox Legacy Piece Beginners Guide: First Island and Early Game Progression Starter Tips
Progression in Roblox Legacy Piece is easy to follow. While PvP is a part of the game, doing quests and defeating mobs will also take a huge chunk of your playtime.
After you wake up, head outside your house and speak with Woop Slap in front of the windmill nearby. If you’re not sure where to go, just follow the brown quest marker on your screen. Afterward, you’ll be told to go to the Partys Bar and speak with Makino.
As you can see inside the Bar, different NPCs have different quest marks on their heads:
- Blue “!” Quest NPCs indicate main storyline quests.
- Yellow “!” Quest NPCs offer side quests.
Nevertheless, both types of quests are repeatable, and you can do them over and over. In case you get stuck in a quest, such as being unable to take an objective, try speaking with the quest giver NPC again.
Keep doing the blue quests until you meet Farmer Kobamuro, after which you have to reach Level 10 to continue. To get there, farming Lucky’s boar hunting sidequest is the best way to gain XP. Going from Foosha Town to the boars’ spawn location takes more time. But defeating boars gives more XP than bandits in Shank’s sidequest. Meanwhile, if you need to get money fast, you can repeat Makino’s Dadan delivery main quest.
Complete Farmer’s Kobamuro’s quest by defeating Higuma boss then equip the Katana he drops. It has a faster M1 attack than your standard Fist. Keep doing quests until you’re tasked to go to the second island, Alvida Island. Head to the other end of Foosha Town to reach the harbor and purchase a boat. But you don’t want to take the Sail Boat; it takes 20 minutes to get to the second island with it! Don’t be cheap and save up money to purchase the Warship, at the very least.
At the time of writing the Legacy Piece Beginners Guide at Update 0, there are 10 islands that you can visit in the game:
- Foosha Island (Level 1-15). Boss: Higuma The Bandit.
- Alvida Island (Level 15-25). Boss: Alvida The Iron Mace.
- Shells Town (Level 25-40). Boss: Axe-Hand Morgan.
- Shimotsuki Island (Level 40-50). Boss: Yeti.
- Haki Island (Level 45). Important NPC: Haki Trainer.
- Orange Town (Level 50-65). Boss: Buggy The Clown.
- Baratie (Level 65-80). Boss: Don Krieg.
- Mink Island (Level 80-95). Boss: Wolfam.
- Arlong Park (Level 95-99). Boss: Saw Shark Arlong.
- 1SS Island. Important NPC: Sofen Gym / 1 Sword Style Trainer.
5. Legacy Piece Starter Tips: Always Buy Logposes to Travel Between Islands
To sail out to other islands, you need not only a boat or ship but also a Logpose. This item will help you navigate the sea and tell you where an island is located. You should be able to purchase them in island stores. For the Foosha Town, take a left from the town’s Spawn Crystal and look for a blue-roofed house. There you can find the Logpose for Foosha Island and Alvida Island, both costing 50 Beli.
Open your inventory and equip the Logpose to use them. Still, if you need more help navigating the seas, this Beginners Guide also has the map for all currently available Legacy Piece islands above.
6. Roblox Legacy Piece Beginners Guide: Where to Get Devil Fruits?
Finding Devil Fruits in Legacy Piece is a matter of luck. They will only appear below trees and have a 30-minute respawn timer. You can buy a Fruit Notifier item for 2,500 Robux in the Shop menu, though.
Like any other One Piece Roblox game each Fruit is differentiated between rarities. More often than not, the rarer a Fruit is, the stronger its abilities are. Below is the simple tier list of all 9 available Devil Fruits in the game.
Tier | Fruit | Rarity |
---|---|---|
S | Hie Fruit | Legendary |
Paw Fruit | Legendary | |
A | Mera Fruit | Legendary |
Bomb Fruit | Rare | |
Diamond Fruit | Rare | |
Wax Fruit | Rare | |
B | Chop Fruit | Common |

C | Spin Fruit | Common |
7. The Best Race Guide in Roblox Legacy Piece for Beginners
There are 5 races in Legacy Piece, and this Beginners Guide will list their advantages:
- Human: Gain XP and Mastery XP faster.
- Skypiean: Has more stamina and jumps higher.
- Fishman: Deals more Fist damage, breathes longer underwater, and swims faster.
- Mink: Has more stamina and has faster moves. Mink also can unlock the exclusive Electro Fighting Style.
- Oni: Has more health and deals more damage.
While Human is great when you still need to grind level and Mastery, the last two races are better for combat. Mink has the upper hand in combo potential thanks to agility boost and their Electro style. Meanwhile, Oni is much tankier and is able to defeat enemies faster. Rerolling races can only be done in the customization option in the main menu.
8. Legacy Piece Starter Tips: Don’t Be Shy!
Last but not least, the most important point in our Roblox Legacy Piece Beginners Guide is to be friendly with other players. In our experience, the people playing Legacy Piece are quite friendly and always ready to lend a hand to newbies. Because of that, don’t be afraid to say hi to fellow players or help out lower-level ones if you’re a veteran. That way, we can help the game grow its community and make it a fun environment for everyone.
Roblox Legacy Piece is available for PC, mobile devices, PlayStation, and Xbox.
