Patch 1.08 has arrived for F1 2019. It is currently live on PC and PS4, with Xbox One soon to follow. The main feature of this latest patch is the updated car liveries. This reflects the cars the in-real-life sport as they are modified significantly throughout the season. Since launch, the Barcelona testing spec cars have been used, and the game was later updated with the Australia spec car – reflecting the first race of the season.

You can check out the full patch notes below:

  • Various livery and sponsor logos updated
  • Updated Ferrari engine cover and front wing endplate. Updated livery, including the 90 Years logos
  • Updated McLaren engine cover and front wing endplate
  • Updated Racing Point nosecone, mirrors, and bargeboard
  • Updated Renault side impact structure vane
  • Updated Alfa Romeo sidepod air intake

F1 2019 is still not done. In September, the last of many content drops that have come to F1 2019 since it’s release in June. It will finally add the much-anticipated official 2019 Formula 2 season. This will include all the tracks, the drivers, teams, and the updated liveries.

F1 2019

In Career mode (the arguably most popular mode in the F1 games), it integrates the 2018 Formula 2 season despite it being the 2019 game. At this stage, it is unknown as to whether the 2019 Formula 2 season will be added, but if I was a betting man I would say it is highly likely.

Since the release of this latest integration in the long-standing  F1 games, Codemasters has delivered on post-launch support. We get monthly updates, with most requested fan requests being implemented into the game.

Despite struggling with the series in the early years, Codemasters has improved year-on-year, and the F1 games now arguably stack up to other popular sports titles such as Madden and FIFA.
