E3 2020 might be officially canceled, but that doesnโt mean all the companies slated to appear are taking their balls and going home. Well, they might be staying home, but they arenโt going to be sulking in the corner.
Just hours after the ESA delivered the news, Microsoft was quick with a response. Phil Spencer took to Twitter to announce plans for an
Next, it was Ubisoftโs turn to make sure its supporters knew it wasnโt going to be taking the next few months off. As is the case with Microsoft, the company expected to show off trailers and announce games. While these three E3 2020 attendees are the first to come forward with stated plans for some kind of attendance, they will almost certainly not be the only ones. Meanwhile, companies like Sony already drew praise for skipping a convention many felt was no longer necessary. Now they get to sit back and watch the video game world scramble to figure out its next steps.
