THQ Nordic just released a trailer that goes over the various elements of gameplay in their upcoming Desperados III. In the video, you can watch below, THQ Nordic has revealed the game will dive into the unique backstory of some of the characters of the previous games. Later, THQ Nordic explained that the game will have a heavy focus on tactical gameplay elements while still offering exceptional amounts of player freedom.
Further, the developers also have a series of videos called dev diaries, that we will have listed below. There a total of four of these videos currently, and new diaries get posted every Wednesday. In these videos, the devs at Mimimi Games, who are currently developing the game, go over some of the backgrounds of Desperados III development. The team at Mimimi Games, also later relitigate in some of the videos about their motivation, methods, goals they had during, and for the future of Desperados III development.
The game is available for preorder now for $49.99 on the PC and $ 59.99 for consoles. Further for those interested the game’s Digital Deluxe Edition is also available for pre-order for the price of the standard edition for a limited time only. Desperados III also has a Collector’s Edition that we spoke about at length in this article here. The Collector’s Edition is also currently available for pre-order for $ 109.99 for PC and $119.99 for consoles.
Now if this is your first time hearing about the game today here is a basic rundown of what to expect from Desperados III. The Premise behind the game is as follows; Desperados III is a hardcore tactical stealth game similar to other titles such as Commandos 2. The game is set before the events of the previous game, Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, and will feature five characters. The Plot of the game revolves around the main character John Cooper joining forces with the other four who are kate (The Runaway Bride), Doc McCoy (The Shady Hitman), Hector (The Giant Trapper) and Isabelle (The Mysterious lady) on John’s quest for redemption.
