DC FanDome is almost here and it’s clear that Matt Reeves’ The Batman is the focal point of the event. Yesterday, Reeves shared a screenshot from the upcoming DC FanDome trailer. The film’s official Twitter account also released a teaser featuring the bat signal with the caption “It’s not just a signal; it’s a warning.”
The teases have continued, with new posters promoting Robert Pattinson’s Batman and Paul Dano’s mysterious interpretation of The Riddler.

There’s a lot of hype around The Batman heading into DC FanDome 2021, and it’s not just from the fans, either. Andy Serkis, who plays Alfred in The Batman, briefly talked with THR about being reunited with Matt Reeves and had high praise for the movie:
I’ll tell you that it was fantastic being reunited with Matt Reeves, [producer] Dylan Clark and [VFX supervisor] Dan Lemmon from the Apes films. We had such a great time making it, and when it eventually comes to the screen, Matt Reeves will have made another masterpiece film because he’s so super-invested in it. But yeah, I’ve been forbidden, expressly forbidden, to talk about Alfred.”
The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin. The film is expected to hit theaters on March 4, 2022.
