Dying Light 2 features a seemingly infinite number of choices for you to make (not actually infinite, but you get the point). No matter how big and small, chances are that your choices will be completely different from any friends you know who are playing the game. Just one of those choices sees Juan attempt to persuade you into taking his help in finding your sister over Jack Matt’s help, who promised to look into a lead towards finding your sister Mia. If you’re having trouble making this decision, then no need to worry. In this guide, we’ll answer if you should side with Jack Matt or Juan in Dying Light 2!
To get straight to the point, choosing to stick with Jack Matt will end Juan’s story outright and will later result in his hanging for being “a traitor.” Whether he’s a traitor or not doesn’t matter too much, though he does try to persuade you into thinking the Butcher is someone you should side with rather than battle.
Now, if you decide to go the arguably more interesting route, you’ll be put on a course to undermine Jack Matt and learn of his rather shady past, working to oust Jack Matt as the leader of the Peacekeepers. You’ll also arguably get a much more interesting questline, leading up to the mission Broadcast and “helping” Jack Matt while planting a bug for Juan to use. It’s worth keeping in mind that if you choose to go down this path, you’ll come to a similar conclusion as you would’ve if you chose not to help Juan at all. So, realistically, nothing’s lost.
