**NO Spoilers Ahead**The second installment in the Doctor Strange films for Marvel and Disney is finally out in theaters today! Although the newest Marvel movie came out today, it has already racked up some significant gains just from yesterday’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness previews. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, also known as Doctor Strange 2, has earned $36 million at the North American Box Office just from Thursday evening previews. Doctor Strange 2 has now been scored as the eighth-best preview ever (not counting inflation), just behind Avengers: Infinity War earning $39 million in 2018. If the previews say anything about earnings for opening weekend at the Box Office, Doctor Strange 2 could make above $160 million in domestic alone! If all goes well, this is a great way to kick off the beginning of this year’s summer blockbusters.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness had its first trailer teased right after the end credits of Spider-Man: No Way Home. This is the first large Marvel film since the release of Spider-Man in December, which is definitely going to be a tough act to follow. Doctor Strange 2 is also notably the first Marvel movie to incorporate anything that has happened in the Marvel Disney Plus series thus far.
