State of Play Showcases a World of Summons and a Clash of Giants

The gameplay trailer titled “Dominance” shown during the State of Play event gave fans an idea of what the combat will look like. Fans received additional details regarding the world of Valisthea along with what we saw in the trailer. The newest release from Square Enix may have more of an emphasis on summons not only in the story but in combat as well. Towards the end of the trailer offers a small showcase for each of the featured summons most familiar to any fans of the Final Fantasy franchise.

Final Fantasy XVI, the newest Square Enix release, will feature a fluid real-time combat system. They show the protagonist Clive Rosfield utilizing an extensive array of unique attacks based on the powers of the summons that looked similar to the combat system in previous releases. With the announcement, fans are given a glimpse into the next epic entry into the Final Fantasy franchise that will hopefully be as popular as the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV and not the disappointing but still good Final Fantasy XV.

If you want to learn more about the Square Enix release Final Fantasy XVI, you can find more information on the Final Fantasy XVI product page. Additionally, you can find out more about Square Enix or any other release titles on their development page. Currently, Final Fantasy XVI is not available for purchase or pre-order, but once it does, you’ll be able to find it on PlayStation 5.
