How to Romance the Trapper in Hooked on You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim

Hooked on You is a dating-sim-slash-visual-novel parody spin-off of the popular Dead by Daylight asymmetric horror game, not unlike KFC’s Colonel Sanders visual novel. Here, you can romance one of four Killers (which all have been anime-fied), The Trapper, Spirit, Huntress, or Wraith. This guide will help you romance and eventually clear the Trapper route for the True Ending in Hooked on You dating sim.

In terms of character, The Trapper is a rather show-offish brute who enjoys proving how strong and rich he is but like someone who’s being honest with him. He also sees his father, Archie McMillan, with high regard. With that out of the way, let’s take a look at how you should proceed on the Trapper’s route.

Day One Guide to Romance Trapper in Hooked on You

The opening questions on the volleyball court don’t matter. These are the only questions and answers that will get you into Trapper’s route:

• Choose “Trapper’s Yacht” for where you want to go
• When asked about appetizer, pick “You can’t choose”
• Be mean to Claudette and Dwight by picking “Get rid of them”
• Obviously, pick “Trapper” when asked who do you want to spend the time with

Afterward, try landing on Trapper when doing the Spin the Bottle minigame. And at dinner, do the Meat Carving minigame well. Regarding the Spin the Bottle minigame though, it’s okay to “fail” and got the other Killers; as long as you’ve chosen the right answers before, you should be on track on the Trapper’s route.

Then continue on with the scenario. Pick the answers below when there are more dialogue options:

• The food is “gross”
• Pick “No” when Trapper asked if you want to see the scroll
• Choose “Follow quietly”
• Choose “Magnificent” after Trapper told you a story about fighting a bear
• Pick “Trapper” as the one who should tell a story at the fire pit
• Pick “Now THAT’s a story” for a Gold Coin
• Say, “Honesty is important”
• Pick “Laugh” for more Gold Coin
• Pick “Trapper” to accompany you at the fire pit

Day Two Guide to Romance Trapper in Hooked on You

• Go on a date with the “Trapper”
• Pick “Assume its a trap”
• When being told to stay away from the cave, choose “Don’t tell me what to do”
• When Trickster asks you to come with him, reject him and pick “You’re loyal to Trapper”
• Picking “Snoop around” will give you a Gold Coin
• When offered a drink, pick “Hell yeah!”
• This time around, Huntress will asks you to come with her. Obviously reject her and pick “You’re loyal to Trapper”
• Trapper will ask you if you want kids, say “No”
• Choose “It’s terrible” when Trapper shows you a drawing
• “Say nothing” when asked about your date
• At the fire pit, choose “Fine, I’ll tell a story”
• Then pick “Adventure” as the theme
• Pick “No, you were kidding”
• And then “Action”
• After your turn, choose “Trapper”
• Pick “Say nothing”
• Select “Trapper” as the one who you want to spend time with
• Trapper will ask you why he picked this spot, say “It’s another test”
• Follow it with “Survival”
• Then “Maybe, maybe not”
• And “You understand”
• End the day by picking any other Killers to eliminate except for Trapper

Day Three Guide of Trapper Route in Hooked on You

• Confess to him by giving Trapper the Flowers
• Say “Power”
• Then ask Trapper, “What he wants in a partner”

There’s a nother minigame, do it well and you should impress Trapper. Then, you will be taken to Trapper’s cave, select “Only if he promises not to kill you.” Afterward, share your “True romantic heartbreak” with him.

Trapper will ask you about his father, follow these answers:

• “Tell him his father raised him right”
• “Uh, is he okay?”
• “No, you don’t believe him”

Now you can ask Mr. McMillan himself some questions yourself. That part doesn’t matter though. When Mr. McMillan asks you back, you have to follow these answers:

• “Never”
• “A partner in crime”
• “Literally”
• “Yes”

Select the “Look around” option for a Gold Coin. Then after Trapper is back, pick these answers:

• “Finally! Let’s do this!”
• “Meh”
• “Depends on the person”
• “No”
• “I would never kill any McMillan”

At the end of the game, to get the Trapper’s True Ending, pick “Yes, I love Trapper!” And that’s it, you’re done with Trapper’s route in the Hooked on You dating sim spin-off!
