An upcoming Lifetime movie, A Rose For Her Grave, would spotlight reality star Chrishell Stause as she returns to her acting roots after a long-running stint on the reality series, Selling Sunset. The 41-year-old, who made a name for herself starring in various televised projects throughout her career, couldn’t be more excited to launch her new phase.
According to People, the upcoming movie follows the real-life criminal records of Randy Roth, an infamous wife-serial killer. Chrishell plays the role of Lori, the brave woman who finally pieced together all of Randy’s crimes and brought him to book. The show, which debuts next year, stars Colin Egglesfield as Randy, while Laura Ramsey would play Cindy, his latest victim, and Lori’s (Chrishell Stause) best friend in the Lifetime movie.
What To Expect On A Rose For Her Grave
Aside from the extraordinary cast ensemble, A Rose For Her Grave boasts of a handful of off-the-screen talents. Jeff Tinnell and Bob Tinnell would serve as executive producers while Benjamin Anderson and Conor Allyn would executive-produce the film. The script, penned by Benjamin and Conor, went into detail about the life of single mom Cindy who found love again after losing her husband.
Sadly, what seemed like her good fortune turned grim when she discovered another side of her new husband, Randy. Lori’s attempts to save her friend from her marriage failed after Cindy mysteriously drowned during a Lake trip with her husband. Things took a darker turn after Randy ordered his wife’s immediate cremation, took custody of her kids, and began leeching on her life insurance policy.
Riddled with grief and suspicion, Lori commenced the investigation into her friend’s death, leading to the discovery that Randy was a serial killer who preyed on his partners. To honor her friend, Chrishell Stause’s character made it her mission to find the truth and bring Randy to justice.
The Lifetime Movie Is A Long-Anticipated Opportunity For Chrishell Stause
Long before becoming the star of Selling Sunset, Chrishell launched her career as an actress, with TV shows like All My Children and The Young And The Restless under her belt. She spent her most recent years putting her real estate expertise to good use by clinching housing deals on the Netflix televised series.
Despite making a name for herself in the reality TV sphere, the icon never shied away from declaring acting as her main focus. In one of her interviews, she described acting as her first love, also disclosing her intentions to return to her roots. This new project with Lifetime, A Rose For Her Grave, has given Chrishell Stause the chance to do just that, opening her up to more career opportunities.
