In the Disney Dreamlight Valley adventure game, you can meet and play with various Disney and Pixar characters, including Anna and Elsa, from the ever-popular Frozen movies. But to unlock Anna in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you need to open the portal to the Frozen Realm and complete the “The Spirits of Nature” Quest first; here’s how.
Unlock Anna in Disney Dreamlight Valley
First, to unlock most Disney characters, you must progress Merlin’s quest to unlock the Dream Castle, where you must take out the Night Thorns blocking the Castle’s entrance. Afterward, go to the Castle’s upper level, where you’ll find the portal to the Frozen Realm after you’ve unlocked the Forest of Valor. Thorns still block it, so remove it by spending 4,000 Dreamlight.
You can now access Anna, and eventually Elsa, in the Frozen Realm. As you enter the Realm, you will notice that Anna and the forest behind her are on fire. Now you’ll need to complete Anna’s “The Spirits of Nature” Quest to unlock her as a villager in your Disney Dreamlight Valley Valley. Speak with Anna to start it:
- Put out the fire using your Watering Can. Anna will also give you the Fireproof Gloves, but it’s optional. Douse all the flames that block your path.
- Once done, keep an eye on a fast-moving white flash on the ground. Capture the white flash by approaching it and pressing the Interact button when near; you’ll catch Bruni, Anna’s friend, and the Fire Spirit.
- Then you’ll find a boulder that blocks your path that turns out to be an Earth Giant. Wake it up by cooking Stone Soup and put it on top of the stone pedestal. Here are the ingredients you need to make a Stone Soup:
- Craggy Rock x3 (you should be able to find them nearby the Earth Giant).
- Basil x1.
- Oregano x1.
- Clean up the rocks and holes on your path using a Pickaxe or Shovel.
- Now you’ll reach a river and see Elsa on the other side. But you cannot cross the river yet because the Water Spirit Nokk is angry. You need to calm Nokk down by fishing out Anna’s Engagement Ring from the nearby pond using your Fishing Rod on the orange ripple in the water.
- Since the other three Spirits have been dealt with, obviously, you still need to meet the Wind Spirit Gale. Well, it appears that Gale caused a tornado inside the forest. Elsa will ask you to craft three Wind Chimes and place them around the tornado. Here are the materials:
- Twine x3 (Elsa will give you these).
- Softwood x15.
- Iron Ingot x3.
- Lastly, speak with Anna to convince her to go to your Valley. Unlike other unlockable characters, Anna will instead live in the Ice House in the Forest of Valor and doesn’t need a house in the Valley.
Once done, complete the “Welcoming Anna” Quest by talking with Anna next to the Wishing Well. Then complete her questline to build a Friendship with her. Finishing her first quest will give you the improved Shovel, the Shovel Blade, that has the ability to remove Tree Stumps. And after you reach Friendship Level 2, you can give her any one of the five Companion Roles.
