Disney Dreamlight Valley features many things to do as you work to restore this magical realm. When you are not gathering ingredients for cooking, you are aiding and befriending the colorful cast of characters. Raising Friendship Levels is vital in the game as it helps you unlock other features for the characters. With ‘The Unknown Flavor’ quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you aren’t just working with Remy. Rather, you will go through the Valley to speak with others to fulfill this quest. Our guide will show you every step you must take to complete it.

How to Complete The Unknown Flavor Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley The Unknown Flavor Quest

‘The Unknown Flavor’ is a quest for Remy, his final quest that unlocks once you hit Friendship Level 10. Besides reaching this level, you also must complete ‘Remy’s Recipe Book‘ and ‘The Price of Fame.’ Once done, you will gain access to ‘The Unknown Flavor’ Disney Dreamlight Valley quest.

We’ll break down the quest in steps so you can follow along more easily.

Step 1: Speak with Remy

Once you speak with Remy, he will mention remembering a recipe but needs a little help. He’ll direct you to find Merlin.

Step 2: Merlin’s Notes

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, ‘The Unknown Flavor’ quest will send you to Merlin’s house. He’ll give more information about the recipe before you’re instructed to grab a recipe book from the library in his home. The spot sparkles, so you can’t miss it.

Step 3: Craft Purified Night Shards

After you advance the quest, you must craft 3 Purified Night Shards. So, you’ll need 3 Dream Shards and 15 Night Shards.

Step 4: Speak to WALL-E

Next up for ‘The Unknown Flavor’ in Disney Dreamlight Valley is to speak to WALL-E. This is because you need someone to turn the Purified Night Shards into powder. Once you have the powder, head to the crafting station and use the powder along with 15 snowballs to make Ice Slush.

If you don’t have snowballs, head to Frosted Heights and dig holes, as you’ll find them randomly.

Step 5: Return to Remy

Disney Dreamlight Valley Slush Ice Purchase

With the Ice Slush made, head to Remy. This is the final stretch in ‘The Unknown Flavor’ in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Remy will give you the recipe for Vanilla Ice Cream and instruct you to make it. It requires the following:

  • Slush Ice
  • Milk (purchased via Chez Remy)
  • Sugarcane (Goofy’s stall on Dazzle Beach)
  • Vanilla (Sunlit Plateau)

Now you’ve unlocked Slush Ice as an ingredient you can purchase from Remy. You will also unlock the “Best Chef” shelf and finish the quest.
