A Plague Tale Requiem is released and players are finding ways to deal with the hardships of medieval France. We have a solution for you if you are already stuck on how to take out those pesky helmet-wearing enemies. This guide will show you how to kill soldiers wearing helmets in A Plague Tale Requiem.

Who are the Soldiers Wearing Helmets in A Plague Tale Requiem?

When it comes to A Plague Tale Requiem, you’ll quickly learn that not all enemies are created equal. Some, like the horrible rats that will swarm you by the hundreds, are practically begging to be put out of their misery. But others, like the soldiers wearing helmets, aren’t relatively so easy to dispatch.

These enemies are equipped with a full armor suit, making them resistant to most damage. In addition, the helmets that they wear will protect them from headshots. This means that you will need to find a way to take them down with a different strategy. But don’t worry; with a bit of practice, you’ll send these helmeted enemies to the great beyond in no time.

You can quickly kill Soldiers Wearing Helmets with your Crossbow, throwing Tar Pots or Tar Jars.

  1. If you want to go for the Crossbow, always aim for the head. It will pierce through the helmet and kill the enemy if you get a good shot. If you’re having trouble aiming, you can always try to hit the soldiers in their legs. This will damage their armor and eventually lead to their death. Also, firing a bolt will kill a soldier if it hits him in the back. But remember, you have only two bolts at the initial stage of the game unless you upgrade your Cross Bow.
  2. If you don’t have a Crossbow or run out of bolts, there are still other ways to kill these enemies. One way is to throw Tar Pots at them. Then throw a sling Igniferous at the tar pot to set it on fire, killing the soldier.
  3. Another way to kill them is to use Tar Jars. Just like the tar pots, you need to throw them at the enemy and set it on fire. The only difference is that tar jars will not kill the soldier outright, but they will heavily damage their armor, giving you a chance to eliminate them.

So, those are some ways you can kill soldiers wearing helmets in A Plague Tale Requiem. While they may be formidable enemies, with a bit of practice, you’ll be able to take them down quickly. So, get out there and start killing some soldiers!

A Plague Tale: Requiem is available for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch (cloud version), and PC via Steam.
