What are Sinistea Chips?
Sinistea is a ghost-type Pokemon that you can find in both versions of the game. You can find Sinistea in the ruins biome and the town biome in South Province (Area Six) and East Province (Area Six). This creature will drop Sinistea chips when you capture them or defeat them.
How to Get Sinistea Chips in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?
To obtain Sinistea Chips in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, you must capture Sinistea in the wild. We recommend you search for Sinistea in ruins near the Alfornada area. You have more chances to encounter Sinistea here than in any other location in the game.
Once you find a Sinistea Pokemon, it is best to use Ghost or Dark-type Pokemon, such as Gengar, to battle it. Remember that since Sinestea is a Ghost-type Pokemon, you won’t be able to use the ever-powerful False Swipe move, so plan your attacks accordingly. Status effects are useful here. Once you defeat or capture this pocket monster, you’ll get 1 or 2 Sinistea Chips.
Once you have at least 10 Sinistea Chips, you can head to Zapapico to exchange the items for a Malicious Armor. This item will allow you to evolve Charcadet into Ceruledge, the evolved form that is exclusive to Pokemon Violet.
One of the fastest ways to obtain these items is by heading to any of the areas we mentioned before and using the auto-battle feature. However, if you want to capture this Pokemon, you can use the normal battle function to get a shot at it. But, if all you need are items, just send your best Pokemon out and let it do its job.
