Unfortunately, there is no surefire way to fix the Checking Epic Services Queue Error message in Fortnite. Since this issue happens in Fortnite/Epic’s server, and it seems to occur when too many players are trying to log in simultaneously, causing a number of players to be unable to queue into the game’s world properly.

However, you can try to restart your game in an attempt to refresh your queue on Fortnite’s server. Once you have closed your game and run it again, you should be able to queue back properly to the server and begin looking for a new match. Here’s how to do it:

PC:

  • Quit the game from the main menu.
  • Or press the ALT+F4 keys when the game is still open.
  • Or press ALT+Tab to minimize the window, then close the game from the taskbar.
  • Then close the Epic Games Launcher and open it back up again.

Console:

  • Go to your console’s home menu.
  • Select the Fortnite app.
  • Press the Options (PlayStation) or Menu button (Xbox).
  • Select the Close Application or Quit option.

In case you need to track Fortnite’s server’s status, Head over to the official Epic Games Public Status page. The page lists all Epic Games-related server statuses, including but not limited to Epic Store, Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League. Also, don’t forget to keep an eye on Fortnite’s official server update Twitter account @FortniteStatus as well.
