This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

If seafarers are looking to earn some extra Doubloons, Reputation, or Commendations on their travels in Sea of Thieves, they should consider getting their hands on Generous Gifts. Generous Gifts are a rare type of Gift that players can sell to The Servant of the Flame at The Reaper’s Hideout for Doubloons and Reaper’s Bones Reputation. If adventurers sail as a Reaper’s Bones Emissary, they will also receive Emissary Value. There are several rewarding Commendations that players can earn if they have other Crews sell Gifts acquired by the participants’ Crew. Continue reading to learn more about how to obtain Generous Gifts in Sea of Thieves.

Obtaining Generous Gifts in Sea of Thieves

Three Methods of Getting Generous Gifts in Sea of Thieves

There are three primary ways to find Generous Gifts in Sea of Thieves. These methods involve looting a Fortress Vault, completing time-limited Mercenary Voyages, and slaying Emergent Skeleton Captains. Once players have found a Generous Gift, they can sell it to The Servant of the Flame directly or give it to another Crew if the pirates are willing to cooperate.

To loot a Fortress Vault in Sea for a Generous Gift in Sea of Thieves, players will need to complete a Skull Fort World Event, which can be found by large skull-shaped gray clouds in the sky. These events involve players raiding a Skeleton Fort and slaying the waves of Skeletons that spawn once the raid has begun. Eventually, a Skeleton Lord will emerge from the lair and serve as a boss battle with the player Crew. Once defeated, players can loot a Stronghold Key from the Skeleton Lord and collect the goods from within the Fortress Vault, which might contain one or two Generous Gifts.

According to the Sea of Thieves Wiki, Mercenary Voyages can be acquired from the Bilge Rat NPCs at any Tavern within a server. The objectives of these voyages can vary and frequently from update to update. Likewise, the rewards also vary but might contain Generous Gifts for players to obtain. Finally, slaying Emergent Skeleton Captains that appear on Small Islands and Large Islands will oftentimes drop Skeleton’s Orders. These orders will reveal X Marks the Spot Maps that can lead to treasure caches containing Generous Gifts in Sea of Thieves.

Sea of Thieves is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
