What are Gold PokeStops in Pokemon Go? Pokemon Go and Pokemon Scarlet Violet have finally been linked. This means that trainers can send postcards from Pokemon Go to their Nintendo Switch Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

The Pokemon Company and Niantic have joined forces to bring Pokemon exclusive to Paldea to Pokemon Go. The one currently featured in the event is the Roaming Gimmighoul. This event and update have brought the unique Golden PokeStops to Pokemon Go. However, trainers are wondering what they are and what they do. This guide will explain to you what Gold PokeStops are in Pokemon Go.

What are Gold PokeStops in Pokemon Go?

Gold PokeStops in Pokemon Go are just like regular PokeStops. However, these will reward you with more items and a Ghimmighoul Coin. You will need 999 coins to evolve Gimmighoul.

Thus, if you want to evolve Ghimmighoul, you will need to spin every Gold PokeStop you find in your neighboring area. The same method is used in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet for Gimmighoul evolution.

If you can’t spot enough Gold PokeStops in Pokemon Go, there is a way to turn regular ones into Gold. This can be done through Golden Lure Modules. These allow players to turn regular PokeStops into Golden PokeStops.

To get Lure Modules, you will need to send multiple postcards to your Pokemon Scarlet and Violet account. Once you get the lure module, you can use it to turn the regular blue PokeStop into a golden one.

In the first 24 hours since the update, there will be plenty of Gold PokeStops in Pokemon Go to farm Gimmighoul coins. However, we don’t know if this will continue past the first 24 hours, but you will be able to use lure models and turn regular PokeStops into Gold PokeStops in Pokemon Go.

Once you spot the PokeStop location, tap on it, and spin the disk by flicking your finger to the left or right from the center. After you spin it, you will receive plenty of items that you can use for your benefit and Gimmighoul Coins.

Pokemon GO is available on iOS and Android.
