This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Gimmighoul and Gholdengo are two Pokemon that were introduced during the ninth generation of games within the region of Paldea. Their popularity has a lot to do with reaching number 1,000 in the Pokedex, as well as the interesting way that they evolve — via Gimmighoul Coins. In Pokemon Go, these golden coins can be placed in the Coin Bag and then, once you reach 999, can be used to evolve Roaming Form Gimmighoul into Gholdengo. Finding these Gimmighoul Coins is pretty easy once you know what to do, so expect to welcome your new golden Pokemon buddy very soon.

Where To Find Pokemon Go Gimmighoul Coins

You can find Gimmighoul Coins by doing any of the following:

  • Catching Roaming Form Gimmighoul.
  • Spinning the Photo Disc of Golden PokeStops.
  • Adventure with Gimmighoul as your buddy.

You can then keep track of all of your Coins by checking the Item inventory. It’ll be at the bottom until you’re actually able to use them to evolve Roaming Form Gimmighoul. In order to change a PokeStop into a Golden PokeStop, you will need to use a Golden Lure Module. The only thing you need to have in advance to get this Golden Lure Module is a copy of either Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet.

How To Get A Golden Lure Module For Golden PokeStops

To obtain the Golden Lure Module, you have to do the following:

  • Connect Pokemon Go to Pokemon Violet or Pokemon Scarlet.
  • Send Postcards multiple times.
  • Obtain Golden Lure Module.
  • Use the Golden Lure Module on PokeStops to change them.

You can also use Pokemon Go to get more Gimmighoul Coins in the Nintendo Switch games.

How To Send Gimmighoul Coins From Pokemon Go To Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

When you send the above Postcards from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, the recipient will receive a variety of items, including Gimmighoul Coins. These Coins are used the exact same way, regardless of which game you’re playing. Although there are a few more ways you can obtain Gimmighoul Coins in the Nintendo Switch games, including:

  • Finding Roaming Gimmighouls.
  • Find Gimmighoul Chests at the top of watchtowers.

The added help of being able to get them from Pokemon Go just makes it that much easier to reach 999.
